We are looking for new artists Every June we hold our very popular week long Art Exhibition in Beith Community Centre. In this we show about 300 works by local artists including paintings, photographs, embroideries and other craft items. There is also a children's section, with entries produced in local schools. This year we are making a special effort to attract new artists who have never exhibited at our show, or perhaps at any other. There are considerable advantages to be gained by new contributors: they can study at close quarters the work of other amateur artists and make comparisons with their own. Newcomers can learn a great deal both from that and talking to other artists, most of whom will attend the opening. It is a great venue for first time entrants – everyone is “on your side” from the start. Most of the works in the adult exhibition are for sale at very reasonable prices. This art show is always very well attended - quite understandably, because there is a great deal of artistic talent out there! The Art Exhibition will run for one week from Monday the 30th of May until Sunday the 5th of June. Our exhibition is a firm favourite with local residents and members of the public from further afield. We have a good record of sales amd some of our artists have been exhibiting with us for many years.
